Mid Laugh Crisis: A Gen X Comedy Tour brings together four seasoned comedians who grew
up before social media, survived dial-up internet, and now find themselves navigating marriage,
parenting, aging, and modern life with equal parts sarcasm and survival instinct.
Featuring Lou Palomino, Edgar Sandoval, John Stage, and Leslie Mitchell, this Gen X
showcase blends sharp storytelling, quick punchlines, and relatable comedy from comics who
have lived enough life to know better but still do dumb things anyway. From marriage and
middle age to family chaos, nostalgia, technology, and everyday frustrations, each comic brings
a unique voice while sharing the same “how did we get this old this fast?” energy.
The result is a night that feels less like a comedy show and more like hanging out with the
funniest people at the reunion… the ones still standing near the jukebox arguing about cassette
tapes, parenting styles, and whether 9:30 PM is now considered “late.”
Leslie Mitchell is a Midwest-based stand-up comedian with a joyful spirit and a sharp,
high-energy style that turns everyday friction into standout comedy. A former “Funniest Person
in Iowa” winner, her stand-up hits the sweet spot of Gen X life – nostalgia, marriage, and middle
age. Her material blends real-life perspective, quick punchlines, and just enough edge to keep
things interesting without losing the room. Named Funniest Person in Iowa, Leslie performs
regularly at comedy clubs, theaters, and casinos.
LOU PALOMINO, A CHICAGO NATIVE TURNED SMALL-TOWN DAD, BRINGS A SHARP,
HONEST TAKE ON FAMILY LIFE AND EVERYDAY FRUSTRATIONS. WITH A CLEAN,
STORY-DRIVEN STYLE, HE TURNS RELATABLE MOMENTS— MARRIAGE, PARENTING,
AND GETTING OLDER—INTO UNEXPECTED LAUGHS.
John Stage is a Chicago-based stand-up comedian known for sharp, relatable comedy and alaid-back style that keeps crowds laughing without trying too hard. He’s performed in clubs,
casinos, and barrooms across the Midwest, delivering quick punchlines and stories audiences
repeat long after the show. Blending Midwestern charm with just enough edge, John connects
with everyone from corporate crowds to late-night bar audiences. A husband and dad with the
energy of the guy confidently running the grill at the family BBQ, he says what you’re thinking,
just funnier.
Edgar Sandoval is an internationally touring comedian and winner of the 2025 BS
Entertainment Midwest Comedy Competition. A former TV news anchor, soccer coach, and
corporate professional, Edgar brings a relaxed confidence and sharp perspective to the stage.
He has headlined clubs across the Midwest and Las Vegas, opened for Charlie Berens on
multiple tours, and shared stages with comics including Rob Schneider, Chris Kattan, and Tom
Arnold. His clean, clever comedy blends observations on family, relationships, race, and
everyday life with a calm, commanding stage presence.
